Once upon a time, there was a farmer who owned a beautiful horse. One day, the horse ran away and the farmer's neighbors came to console him. "What terrible luck!" they exclaimed. But the farmer calmly replied, "Maybe yes, maybe no."
The next day, the horse returned bringing with it a herd of wild horses. The neighbors came to congratulate the farmer on his good fortune. "What good luck!" they exclaimed. But the farmer calmly replied, "Maybe yes, maybe no."
The following day, the farmer's son tried to ride one of the wild horses, but he fell off and broke his leg. The neighbors came to console the farmer. "What terrible luck!" they exclaimed. But the farmer calmly replied, "Maybe yes, maybe no."
The day after that, the army came to the village to recruit all able-bodied young men for the war. But the farmer's son was exempted because of his broken leg. The neighbors came to congratulate the farmer on his good fortune. "What good luck!" they exclaimed. But the farmer calmly replied, "Maybe yes, maybe no."
The moral of the story is that we never know what the future holds, and what may seem like misfortune can sometimes turn out to be a blessing in disguise. It's important to keep an open mind and not jump to conclusions about events that happen in our lives.
